Cosmopoiesis: the making of a world entire — its lands and maps, its peoples and their tongues, its arms and histories. The Society is a common home for those who practise it.
Cosmopoiesis is the old word for world-making: the building of a world in full, from its coastlines to its constitutions. The Society revives it for those who make worlds that do not happen to exist — conlangers and grammarians, cartographers and heralds, historians of invented centuries, micronationalists, and the roleplayers who go and live in the result.
Its Fellows are amateurs in the older sense — people who do this for love of the craft. The Society takes that seriously: it keeps archives, publishes, and offers a settled address to work that is too often scattered across short-lived forums and servers. It accredits nothing and recognises no one; it simply keeps the record and the company.
These addresses are reserved for the Society and its projects. Each will in time carry its own section — a conlanging archive, a worldbuilding library, a register of micronations, a flag repository and a roleplaying directory among them. Until then, every one of them points here.
